Change your state with village life.

I’m writing this from a village in Montenegro and it’s changed my state. I’m running my first men’s workshop of the year here. I’ll be sharing more content and thoughts from this over the coming weeks.

2 Fitness Concepts

  1. Change your state

I turned 36 this week. Up until a few years ago my fitness goals were heavily focuses on achieving skills like handstands or squatting more weight.

I still strive for these goals but the main focus on my training now is to change my state. After a big day of work, feeling energetically empty, a 20 minute workout changes my stage, gets me out of my head and replenishes my body.

It’s a tonic i use to offset modern life and I look at training the same as sleep Alf food now. It’s a tool that makes me feel better in my body physically and psychologically 

  1. Are you even on the right motorway?

One of my clients is 3 weeks into the program and on this week’s check in he said he’s made ungodly progress in 3 weeks. He struggled to lose 2 lbs in December for a wedding yet dropped 15lbs in 12 weeks with my program.


Because he’s focusing all his energy in one diffraction. It’s the lack of clarity that most people struggle with. Once you get on the right road, you thrive. 


2 Mindset Nuggets

  1. Be Do Have

Who do you need to be to have the outcome you’re looking for? 

You habits and behaviours over the past decade are why you’re in this position right now. So if you want things to change, you have to change how you behave. 

You get back, what you repeat. 

If you sleep 7+ hours a night, walk 6k steps or more daily, eat mostly plants and protein and do strength or mobility work 2-3 days a week, you’ll transform your health in the next 12 month. 

There’s no magic or no hacks. It’s just consistent implementation which is simple but not easy. 

  1. Have you quit already?

We are into the final week of February. Most people who set goals in January have quit or forgotten about them. Have you?

If you have, give yourself some slack and begin again today. That might mean, getting to bed earlier, avoiding dessert or getting to the gym. You’ll be a new man before the end of the year.
