Personal trainer. Then patient. Then coach again.
I was 28, working as a personal trainer, when I damaged my L5-S1 doing a backbend while coaching a 6am client. My doctor told me never to squat again. It ruined my life for four years.
I spent thousands on physios and coaches. It helped for a while, then the pain kept coming back. Eventually I found the right people, the ones who actually fixed it, plus thousands of hours of my own research. That's when I realized the low back isn't just a physical issue - it's also about how you respond to pain.
Once I'd solved my own back, I built the process I've now used with over 400 clients since 2011: Reset, Restore, Reinforce, done in order. I also host the Strong For Life Blueprint podcast - long-form conversations on back pain and rehab, including interviews with the physios and researchers I trust.
Coaching runs fully remotely - there's no physical location. Clients are in Ireland, the UK, the US, Europe, and Australia.
